How Did I Get Here?
This is a difficult post for me to share. I am a lawyer who deals with catastrophic problems daily. The weight of these experiences sometimes feels heavy. In 2019, I needed to take a break. Part of me felt broken inside. I turned to art to help navigate the emotions I struggled to express. I discovered that art made me feel good. I am an artist at heart. Artists capture and express emotions.
I pour my heart and soul into my work. I attract individuals who resonate with that energy. During this journey, I focused on my healing. I confronted various heartaches in my life. I made a video about my healing journey, which you can watch here.
Since I began prioritizing my healing, I have met many clients who share similar experiences. They also seek out art to address their pain. This resonates with me deeply, especially when I reflect on my own boudoir photoshoot.
Understanding Relationship Trauma
Many clients first approach me due to trauma from abusive relationships. They share how their self-worth and body image have been attacked. These experiences often leave them feeling less than capable. As a response, some clients look to boudoir shoots to reclaim their sensuality in a safe setting. They want to regain their confidence and often pursue experiences they've always desired but previously feared.
I strive to create a safe environment for each client. It's an honor to play a role in their healing journeys. All I wish for is to help them feel empowered.
Confronting Body Image Issues
Many clients also struggle with body image issues, similar to my experiences since the second grade. Through my photography, I have learned that confidence is the most alluring trait anyone can possess. It may take stepping out of one’s comfort zone, but the results are rewarding.
At the end of each shoot, I love to sit down with clients and show them their unedited galleries. This experience allows them to see themselves through my eyes. I believe each individual I work with is beautiful.
Embracing Dark Feminine Energy
I often work with clients interested in exploring their dark feminine energy. This energy represents the confident, wild, and passionate side that society often pushes aside due to taboos and expectations. A boudoir shoot can help individuals embrace this energy. Dark feminine imagery can project power, confidence, and the freedom to occupy space without concern for others’ opinions. This, in my view, is one of the best reasons to pursue a boudoir shoot.
I often surprise clients with my crystal collection and my library on plant witchery. I proudly share my astrological signs: I'm an Aries sun, a Virgo moon, and a Scorpio rising. My studio is designed to cultivate a positive atmosphere. I represent all four elements: the fireplace embodies fire, the waterfall fountain represents water, my crystal bowls symbolize earth, and the aerial apparatuses signify air. This energy is essential to make the studio an inviting place for healing.
